I have been actively hosting and moderating gala dinners and corporate functions in Singapore and Malaysia since 1997. These include press conferences, product launches, international conferences and discussions, and extended to appearances on televised programmes. One of the high-profile appearances include the hosting of the prestigious ASEAN International Film Festival and Awards (AIFFA) 2015 and 2017 which were telecast live in South East Asia.

In between, I write and edit for my clients; website content, corporate profiles, academic materials, blogs or books, and the like. My clients include government-linked corporate organizations, academic institutions, business owners, authors and postgraduate researchers.

In 2017, I spearheaded my own Professional Master of Ceremony (PMOC) course in Kuching, Borneo as the Content Creator and Principal Facilitator. This was the first Event Moderator course in Borneo, and aimed at providing professionally trained and industry-ready event moderators for the market.

Moving my business base from Borneo to Erfurt, Germany in October 2018, I have been able to continue conducting my Communications English and Business English courses for the local Thuringian community, which continues till today.

The most recent addition to my services is the virtual music lesson, where I have been able to groom talents effectively without needing to be in the same country. In this day and age, distance and time differences should never be a deterrent to learning.

As an independent business operator since 2010, I believe that quality is the key to survival in the industry. We depend on our clients to sustain us financially and their approval of our quality of work affects us, directly.

Independent talents and freelancers have the capacity to offer the same high quality of work expected from large corporations, because it is the individual who determines the quality. It is this belief that motivates me to encourage you to continue reskilling and upskilling yourselves. One can never stop learning new things, or doing old things in a new way.

I am humbled to say that every moment in executive and managerial positions in the past 25 years of working and collaborating in the corporate business environment has been invaluable. It is with this experience of having learnt something new each time that I believe I should share my knowledge and skills with others who are in the corporate industry or may just be embarking on their journey.

Within every person is a blooming talent waiting to be discovered and nurtured. This is what I believe. And this is what drives me to do what I do.
